Life Story Company

How it works

From one call to a finished story.

Telling a life story should feel like a good visit, not paperwork. Five steps, real dates in writing, and one person who answers for all of it.

  1. Story Call

Free, 15 minutes. Who you want to capture, the stories that matter, and what you already have.

Bring whatever you have: photos, letters, an old recording, a box nobody has opened in years.

You leave with a plan to get their story down, whether or not you hire us.

  2. A plan in writing

The people, the stories to start with, and real dates, agreed before we start.

Your agreement covers ownership and publishing rights, an interview release, privacy for living relatives, and a pause and exit clause if your parent gets sick.

You sign it before the first interview.

  3. Three interviews

    Recorded conversations at their pace.

About 90 minutes each. In person anywhere from Ogden to Provo, or by video anywhere in the United States.

Each conversation builds on the one before, so the stories get deeper as we go.

  4. Review session

We go through the draft with you.

By video or in person. You tell us what to fix, what to add, and what to leave out.

Anything the family adds is marked as family memory.

  5. Your digital download

Their finished story, in their own words, yours to keep.

Read it, share it with every grandchild, and print it at home.

Want a printed hardcover or a private family website? Those are extra, and you can add them any time.

Do you use AI?

Yes, as a tool. The interviews are conversations with Sean. A writing system helps turn the recordings into a draft, and Sean reads and shapes every page himself before you see it.

The words and the stories stay theirs.
